Christmas ArtWalk 2018 & 2019
SpaceWalk ArtWalk – October 2018
Are you read for an out-of-this-world ArtWalk? Aronfield Agency hosted a SpaceWalk themed Artwalk for Black Friday on November 23, 2018.
There was space themed art work from local artists and a live musical performance by Shelem, known around the Huntington music scene for his fresh beats. We also had Response Energy Drink there to make sure everyone was fully charged for all the excitement. And can’t forget our space themed photo-booth were many people wore Star Wars themed masks.
Haunted House ArtWalk – October 2018
Aronfield Agency had a haunted house, eerie artwork and other frighteningly fun activities for attendees of all ages. Take a tour with Jay Silverman before we turn down the lights and get spooky!
“This is one of our favorite times of the year, so it was pretty clear that for this ArtWalk we were going to have a haunted house,” said Aronfield Agency’s Owner and Creative Director, Joel Bennett.
“We’ve had such a good time coming up with all sorts of ideas to add the right amount of macabre to the evening, and we think this will really get people in the Halloween spirit.”
Singer/songwriter Emmalea Deal also mesmerized attendees with her haunting vocals throughout the evening and plenty of spooky snacks were on-hand.
Raise The Bar ArtWalk – September 2018
We had a great preview night at Aronfield Agency with iFiTT24 and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern West Virginia. We held a special Raise the Bar preview event during this month’s ArtWalk! Raise the Bar is an annual fundraiser for RMHC hosted by iFiTT24.
This year’s event was held on September 28, 7–10 p.m. at iFiTT24. Proceeds went towards the construction of a wellness center for the House. ArtWalk attendees learned more about this collaborative effort as well as bought tickets in advance.
AAA Entertainment provided tunes for the evening, and Eggs will Roll served up tasty bites outside. We also offered a special Raise the Bar-themed photo booth with LJ Lambert Photography, mini boot camp hosted by noted trainer and iFiTT24 owner Brandon Walters and multiple fitness stations to get you moving! We had artwork by Beckley Underground, William Todd Gambill, Mary B, Matt Garretson, Devan McDaniel, Chris Woodall, Brittney Hancock, and Kathy Farrell!
Improv ArtWalk – August 2018
Are you ready for another ArtWalk at Aronfield? This month we were all about improv! So throw your insecurities out the window and let loose with an impromptu karaoke performance! Or, if guitar is more your style, Neil Curry offered on-the-spot lessons for aspiring instrumentalists.
We had the comedy troupe The Mighty Schmucks demonstrate their unique talents with a special show of their own. Hungry? We had delicious food outside from the awesome Eggs Will Roll – they served up egg roll bowls and buffalo chicken rolls (sounds good, right?). But wait! That’s not all! Jane-of-All-Trades Claire Hemme also sold her Super Rad Stickers. And, of course, can’t forget the Taste! West Virginia magazine booth were they offered a food-themed photo shoot!
GameNight ArtWalk – July 2018
One of our favorite ArtWalks so far! Aronfield Agency had new art from local artists, music by the Heavy Hitters, and a magic show by Joey Stepp!
During Game Night we had different types of games all over the office and a game themed photo booth. Some games included Dance Dance Revolution, Connect Four, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Checkers, and Street Fighter.
FestivALL ArtWalk – June 2018
What’s better than ArtWalk? ArtWalk during FestivALL! There was an evening acoustic performance by the alt-rock band The Dividends, a photo booth, games (did someone say Plinko?) and a whole lot more!
Beach Party ArtWalk – May 2018
This ArtWalk was Beach themed, for all of those wanting to take a vacation to the beach! We had a real Mermaid in the building, Nicole Wildman, and Mike Winland photographed her and all those wanting to catch a glimpse.
The music was beach themed and we also had beach volleyball, limbo, a sand pit, and plenty of lei’s to go around.
Black Light ArtWalk – April 2018
Time for something a little different at ArtWalk this month — Aronfield presents Black Lights ArtWalk!!
We had house music by Mick Wiseman of WTSQ’s House Arrest and DJ Tim Hoover! Our Hale Street location was decked out, as always, with awesome artwork from the artists of Beckley Underground, with some added black light pieces! Our photobooth from our previous events made another appearance, so it’s time to get silly! (and make sure you look for the album on our Facebook page afterward so you can see how they turned out)
We also had our infamous “pizza rug room” turned into a mini black light studio where our ArtWalkers could collaborate on several canvases to make ArtWalk black light collages! As always, food and refreshments were provided.
First ArtWalk of the Season – March 2018
This was our first ArtWalk of the year, and it was a blast! We had Static Fur playing music, giveaways from The Mix 100.9 with Jay Silverman, sweets from Sugar Pie Bakery WV and mixed media pieces from Beckley Underground artists and Devan McDaniel.
We also had a fun photobooth with Lisa Lambert that turned out great! Check out more photos on our Facebook page.
Ribbon Cutting Holiday Party ArtWalk – December 2017
This was our first ever ArtWalk and we were aiming to impress! Lots of treats, giveaways, food by Swiftwater Cafe, live music by Emmalea Deal and art by almost two dozen artists with over 50 pieces of mixed media artwork from Beckley Underground.
We also had our ribbon cutting to celebrate Santa giving us a new office space and we hope you also got what was on your wish list!
